🇬🇧 In 2010/2011 there's been a series of und 🇬🇧 In 2010/2011 there's been a series of underwater volcanic eruptions off the south coast of El Hierro. A few years later you can swim in that area enjoying fish, mantas, jellyfish, eels and even turtles and small sharks.
But bring a waterproof camera! 😉
🇮🇹 Al largo della costa sud di El Hierro, nel 2010/2011, ci sono state una serie di eruzioni vulcaniche sottomarine. Dopo poco anni è possibile nuotare nell'area incontrando ogni sorta di pesci, anguille, mante, meduse e, con un po' di fortuna, anche tartarughe e piccoli squali!

🇬🇧 Charco Azul is a beautiful cave with acce 🇬🇧 Charco Azul is a beautiful cave with access to the sea. The waves keep on pushing in water but the enclose space makes it a safe place to swim. 
It's so cute that even the view from the parking place (second picture) is awesome! 😁
🇮🇹 Il Charco Azul è una bellissima grotta con accesso al mare. Le onde offrono un ottimo ricambio continuo d'acqua e lw rocce rendono lo spazio sicuro per nuotare.
È talmente carino che anche dal parcheggio c'è un'ottima vista! 😍

🇮🇹 IUn tempo il Meridiano Zero passava da qu 🇮🇹 IUn tempo il Meridiano Zero passava da qui, Punta de la Orchilla. Ma poi venne l'impero Britannico e si drcise di spostare questo importante simbolo a Greenwich, lasciando all'isoletta il monumento dell'ex Meridiano Zero a celebrare i 2 secoli di fama geografica! 
🇬🇧 Prime Meridian used to be here, Punta de la Orchilla. But then came the British empire and it was decided to move this important sign to Greenwich, leaving this little island with an ex Prime Meridian monument to celebrate their two centuries of fame!

🇮🇹 Camino Jinama è iniziato tra le nuvole ( 🇮🇹 Camino Jinama è iniziato tra le nuvole (letteralmente! La 5ta foto rende bene lidea!). Ma proseguendo si incontrano bellissimi panorami sul golfo e un sentiero immerso nel verde!
Quando non c'erano le macchine, questa era la strada più breve tra Frontera e il resto dell'isola. Da percorrere rigorosamente con gli asinelli! 🐴
🇬🇧 Camino Jinama started really, REALLY foggy (PIC #5 😂) but it turned out to be a beautiful walk in a very green part of El Hierro, with stunning views over the gulf!
Back in the days, when there were no cars, this was the fastest way between Frontera and the rest of the island. Donkeys were humans best friends!

🇬🇧 El Hierro is the 6th Canary Island I visit. It's really small but it has a fair amount of different kinds of landscape, some of them very peculiar. Here it's a classic one: volcanic rocks off the coast.
